ISRO to launch 31 satellites in a single PSLV on January 10 ISRO on Friday announced that it would launch 31 satellites, including India’s Cartosat-2 series earth observation space craft, in a single mission onboard its Polar rocket on January 10. The mission will be the first Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) mission after the unsuccessful launch of navigation satellite IRNSS-1H in August. “The launch is tentatively scheduled for January 10,” a senior Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) official told PTI.  The mission’s main payload would be India’s Cartosat-2 series earth observation satellite. The Mission Readiness Review committee andLaunch Authorisation Board is scheduled to meet inthe coming days would take the final call, he said. PSLV-C40 will be used for the launch from the spaceport in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota, about 100 kms from Chennai. Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude hits Nicobar Islands.  An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale has hit the Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal. The quake hit around 5 pm. The Indian Meterological Department (IMD) has estimated the depth of the epicentre at around 10 km. Tremors were felt across the region. Whether it has caused damage is not yet clear. The quake hit is not too far north of the epcentre of the massive 9.1 Richter earthquake of December 26, 2004, which caused the devastating tsunami.  It ocurred along the undersea fault line at the meeting of the Indian and Burma tectonic plates. Tiger Zinda Hai box office collection day 7: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer enters Rs 200 crore club.  Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai has earned Rs 206.04 crore in seven days. It is the second-highest grosser of 2017, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Tiger Zinda Hai is having a blast at the box office. The  Salman Khan  starrer has crossed Rs 200 crore on its seventh day, according to figures tweeted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. In fact, Tiger Zinda Hai, with earnings of Rs 206.04 crore, has become the second-highest grosser of 2017 after Baahubali 2.
